Smoke House - A Case Study

Who ever would have thought that the room in which kippers are 'smoked' would require a fire alarm?

The reality of smoking kippers is that tar is over the years deposited on the walls, beams etc ofthe room. This highly flammable residue becomes a major risk to the room itself and the rest of the buildings surrounding it.

Our solution to the problem was to install a heat sensitive cable, which in the event of a fire in the room produces a signal to a conventional fire alarm panel. The 'smoke room' becomes simply another zone on the fire alarm system.
