Fire and Safety Training

It is the responsibility of employers to ensure that all employees have received training in fire safety - this is a legal requirement.

Our in house training manager can tailor courses to suit the specifics of any business / enterprise.

Fire Wardens, necessary in larger premises need additional training.

Training includes a good balance between the theoretical and the practical.

The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety ) Order 2005 came into effect on 1st October 2006. [Known as Fire Safety Order]. This rescinds all previous Fire Safety Legislation including:-

Fire Precautions (workplace) Regulations 1997 &
Fire Precautions Act 1971.

General overview

The intention is to simplify fire precautions and give ownership and responsibility of fire safety matters directly to the Employer / Owner or person in charge of all work places whether people are employed, volunteers or congregated for work, pleasure, leisure or religion.

In effect all circumstances other than a domestic property with one family unit.

The responsibility rests firmly with the Employer / Owner who is now, whether they know it or not, 'The Responsible Person' and the person in Law to whom the Fire Authorities will approach for compliance or non-compliance to the Fire Safety Order.
